Desmond Sheehy
In the last 20 years, Des has been investing into companies and funds across a number of sectors across the capital structure in both emerging and developed markets. He has raised, invested and managed almost USD 800 million for multiple funds and mandates. In this time, Des was a Senior Investment officer at IFC – World Bank Group, a Managing Director at Deutsche Asset Management and founder and CIO at Duxton Asset Management. Des is focused on mentoring and helping founders and the companies develop so that they can better tackle the next stage in their journey. His main focus is on Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. Human Development (Health, Wellness, Food) and Human Capital (Education, Effectiveness) are his core passions. I am also passionate about digital and human transformation. I do this through our companies VitaVitae, Innerleadership and soon LionCenter. Here I partner with some of the leading minds, thought leaders and executors to deliver to clients (individuals, families, teams and corporates) ,on a confidential basis, transformative strategies and help them implement the same.
Stuart Hamlyn
Trained in Economics and Computer Science at Brown University in both undergraduate and graduate school. Worked at Apple / Motorola then co-founded the Interfin Group Ltd which became a global firm based in Geneva, New York, Miami, and San Francisco focusing on providing in-depth research / investment and distribution of Hedge Funds, Venture, Private Equity Funds as well as direct private placements. Co - Founded and ran two Internet Firms. (Seniors.com / Queganas.com). Extensive experience in private equity, venture capital, private debt, divestitures, special situations and restructurings. Specialties include leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, spinoffs, turnarounds, recapitalizations, restructurings, corporate divestitures and structured finance. Stu is passionate about putting together healthcare deals that connect founders to smart capital and technical knowledge.
Sureshan Sivananthan
Experienced orthopaedic surgeon, ceo, entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist with deep experience in a combination of clinical, clinical research, start-up and health analytics roles. Research interests include digital health technologies, imaging systems, machine learning health platforms, stem cell treatments and tissue engineering, especially in the fields of cartilage restoration, bone regeneration and joint regeneration. Over 10 years’ experience investing in and mentoring healthcare startups. Suresh excels in working alongside entrepreneurs, rolling up his sleeves and sharing the hard work along with the success. An expert in many dimensions of the industry, he has supported the success of multiple healthcare organizations. Suresh is passionate about reducing healthcare costs while increasing access to care for all using cloud-based healthcare.
